Terms of Service

1. Service Description

StrataStack provides a platform for renting GPU compute instances and accessing AI inference APIs from third-party partners. Users can deploy virtual machines, run workloads, and use API endpoints for AI model inference. All services are provided on a pay-per-use basis with prepaid wallet balances.

2. Account & Payment

• Users must create an account and maintain a minimum wallet balance of $1.00 to deploy instances.
• All charges are deducted from the wallet balance in real-time based on usage.
• Wallet deposits are non-refundable except as required by law.
• Unused prepaid time on terminated instances is refunded proportionally per our refund policy.
• Users are responsible for all activity on their account, including API key usage.

3. Acceptable Use

StrataStack GPU instances and AI APIs may be used for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to AI/ML training and inference, software development, data processing, scientific computing, and cryptocurrency mining.

4. Crypto Mining & High-Intensity Workloads

Cryptocurrency mining and other high-intensity compute workloads are permitted on the platform. However, providers (our infrastructure partners) may throttle, rate-limit, or terminate instances running such workloads if they cause excessive stress on hardware, degrade performance for other users, or violate provider-specific acceptable use policies. StrataStack is not responsible for provider-enforced limitations on mining workloads. Users running mining workloads should select providers with appropriate hardware and policies.

5. Prohibited Activities

• Illegal activity of any kind
• Distribution of malware, ransomware, or malicious code
• Network attacks (DDoS, port scanning, intrusion attempts)
• Hosting or distributing child exploitation material
• Violation of any applicable law or regulation

6. Service Level & Liability

• Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
• We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in the preceding month.
• We are not responsible for data loss; users should maintain backups.
• Partner provider outages are beyond our control; credits may be issued at our discretion.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate the account at any time. Upon termination, active instances will be stopped and any remaining wallet balance will be handled per our refund policy. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
